Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the AnonyMoose website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations. These Terms apply to all users, including organization administrators and individual contributors.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Use License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, AnonyMoose grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. This is a grant of license, not a transfer of title. Under this license, you may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services or underlying software.
- Use the Services for any commercial purpose outside of your organization's authorized subscription.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any part of the Services.
- Sublicense or resell access to the Services to any third party.
This license terminates automatically if you violate any of these Terms. AnonyMoose reserves the right to revoke this license at any time.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of AnonyMoose, you agree to:
- Use the platform for lawful purposes only, in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful.
- Respect the anonymity of other users and not attempt to identify, reverse-engineer, correlate, or expose the identity of any anonymous contributor.
- Not use the platform to distribute malware, spam, or any form of automated or scripted abuse.
- Not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform or circumvent any security measures.
- Promptly report any security vulnerabilities or suspected misuse to privacy@anymoose.com.
Organization administrators are additionally responsible for ensuring that users within their organization use the Services in accordance with these Terms.
4. Employer Data and Organizational Accounts
AnonyMoose is designed to facilitate anonymous communication within organizations. To enable this, certain organizational data is associated with your account:
- Employer Association: Your account is linked to your employer or organization at the time of registration. This association is stored anonymously — we record that a submission belongs to a given organization, but we do not link it to your individual identity within that organization.
- No Individual Attribution: AnonyMoose's architecture is designed so that neither AnonyMoose nor your employer can identify you as the author of any specific submission. Your employer can see aggregated, anonymized responses but cannot trace content back to any individual.
- Data Deletion Requests: Because submissions are stored anonymously and cannot be linked to you individually, we are unable to delete specific submissions on a per-user basis without deleting all data for the associated organization. If you believe data tied to your organization should be removed, please contact your organization administrator or reach out to us at privacy@anymoose.com. Administrators may request full organizational data deletion, which will remove all anonymized submissions associated with that organization's account.
- Employer Responsibilities: Organization administrators are responsible for configuring the platform appropriately and communicating its use to their teams. AnonyMoose is not responsible for how organizations act upon data or reports submitted through the platform.
5. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, reporting to relevant authorities:
- Using the platform to make false, malicious, or bad-faith reports about individuals or organizations.
- Coordinating with others to manipulate outcomes of polls or surveys.
- Attempting to deanonymize other users through any technical or social means.
- Using the Services in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair AnonyMoose's infrastructure.
- Violating any applicable laws, including those relating to harassment, discrimination, or data protection.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, service marks, logos, and software comprising the Services are the property of AnonyMoose or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our express written permission.
User-submitted content (messages, polls, reports) remains the property of the submitting user or organization. By submitting content, you grant AnonyMoose a limited license to process and transmit that content solely for the purpose of delivering the Services.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party tools, platforms, or websites. AnonyMoose does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their content, practices, or policies. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AnonyMoose expressly disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
AnonyMoose does not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
- The results obtained from using the Services will be accurate or reliable.
- Any defects in the Services will be corrected.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AnonyMoose and its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of or inability to use the Services.
- Any content submitted through the Services.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In all cases, AnonyMoose's total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by your organization for the Services in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AnonyMoose and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Services in violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.
- Any content you submit through the Services.
11. Termination
AnonyMoose reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise detrimental to the Services.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including but not limited to intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and indemnification — shall survive.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which AnonyMoose is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of a mutually agreed arbitration body, except where prohibited by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide advance notice via in-app notification or email to the organization administrator on record. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
